    This is my favourite restaurant in Stratford. The food, service, and atmosphere are all top notch! Try the martini's, they are fantastic!

    I would like to preface this by saying my low rating was not about the food, our meal was 4 star delicious. However we experienced several serious staff problems that spoiled our experience and caused us public embarrassment. We poked our heads in at 1:15 to make a reservation for that evening. We could see four staff sitting around a table, we rattled the door, but it was locked. So we left. I immediately called the phone # posted on the door to make a reservation. No one answered despite the fact that we could see four staff sitting there. I got voice mail that requested my phone to confirm. Our message was never confirmed. When we arrived the server, asked if we had a reservation. I said I called and made one on Voice Mail. She said, "Did you receive a confirmation?" I said, " No." She said, "What time did you call? " I responded, "Before 2" She snipped, "well, there's no staff on then." I replied , " Well, we could see folks here through the window and the voice mail, said they would return our call." "She said, "Well, we will see if we have a table available." Magically, they did. And after we sat down it occurred to me she never asked my my name. So did she know our reservation had not been received? A simple, " I am sorry your reservation was not confirmed. I will do my best to find you a table.", would have been all that was needed. To be interrogated was not appropriate. Once we were seated., a supervisor seemed to step in. She took our drink orders, chatted pleasantly. My friend and I ordered the same prime rib special . She ordered Medium rare , mine medium. Her's was delivered well- done, and mine was delivered as I ordered. When then supervisors arrived . She asked, " Are sure , we didn't just mix up the orders?" Yes, you probably did but no matter what., one meal is going back. On the positive side, they got the next meal prepared as ordered very quickly. So we were happy. The bill arrived. We left a customary tip despite the earlier rude treatment by the the waitress. But, as I examined my bill I noticed that I had been charged for a more expensive wine than I ordered. I pointed it out to my friend, and she also had been charged an even higher discrepancy. I was willingly to walk out, but my friend politely pointed out that both of us were over-charged. The young woman that served us couldn't wait to get us gone, she disappeared for a minute to "Talk to her supervisor,kin. " , then shoved our tip at us saying , " Here just take my tip." Which we did. Not sure whether there is a service training problem, a management problem, but the treatment we received made us feel like they were doing us a big favor to serve us. Never again. Don't know if it was a one employee problem, but we will never return until we see consistent positive reports.

    We went to the Annex room on Saturday night and were completely delighted with the amazing plates full of flavour. We had an appetizer, a main, and even saved room for the most delicious desserts!! We will definitely be back again. It's fine dining, and I was ok not having my cell phone out on the table and just enjoying each other's company. Well worth a visit!

    Very disappointing!! This used to be our favourite restaurant for all of our special occasions. From the staff dressed in flip-flops, shorts and yoga pants, to the dry meat and substandard meal presentation, this restaurant has gone downhill. The eloquent atmosphere no longer exists. The tables were sticky, the silverware was spotty and no longer do they serve the delicious roasted garlic this place was known for. It took over an hour and twenty minutes to get our dinner. The waitress was not attentive. Our drinks were empty long before our meal arrived; the waitress delivered our meals and was gone in a flash. We will not be frequenting this restaurant in the future. So sad that they have let this wonderful little venue go. :(

    It was awesome, myself and my fiancee are vegan and the chef accommodated us with no issue and actually surprised us. There was a young man playing game music in the background that was very talented and nice. We bought his CD after. The ambiance and overall atmosphere was amazing. We'd recommend this place to vegans and non vegans alike wanting to visit Stratford.
